Overview
Paws Planner is a mobile dog grooming business management app. We’ve designed it from the ground up to keep your data private and under your control. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Data we collect
We don’t.
Paws Planner does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data with us, our servers, or any third party. There are no accounts to create, no logins, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising IDs. Anthropic and its services are not involved in any way.
Data you store in the app
When you use Paws Planner, you create and store information on your device, including:
• Your business details (name, phone, address) used to calculate travel times and personalise reminder messages
• Client details (names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses)
• Dog details (names, breeds, grooming notes, optional photos)
• Appointment history (dates, services, prices, notes)
This information is stored locally on your iPhone in the app’s secure storage area. It never leaves your device unless you choose to share it (see below).
How your data is used
Information you enter is used solely to:
• Show your appointments, clients and dogs within the app
• Calculate driving times between appointments using Apple Maps
• Pre-fill reminder text messages you send to your clients
• Sync appointments to your iPhone Calendar (if you choose to)
• Save changes to your iPhone Contacts (if you pick a client from Contacts or grant permission to add new ones)
Permissions the app requests
Paws Planner asks for permission to use the following iOS features. You can change or revoke any of these in iOS Settings → Paws Planner at any time:
• Calendar — to add appointments to your iPhone Calendar so you can share them with anyone you choose
• Contacts — to pre-fill new client details from existing contacts and to write back addresses and dog notes to those contact cards
• Notifications — to deliver appointment reminders you schedule
• Camera and Photo Library — to attach photos to dog profiles
• Location (occasional) — when calculating driving times between appointments
Apple Maps is used to calculate driving times. When this happens, Apple Maps receives the addresses of your stops to calculate routes. This is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.
Backups
The app automatically creates daily backups of your data and stores them as files on your iPhone or in your iCloud Drive (if you have iCloud Drive enabled). These backups are accessible only to you. Anthropic does not have access to them.
You can export, share, or delete backups at any time within the app’s Settings.
Sharing data
You control all sharing:
• When you tap “Send reminder”, you compose a text message in the iPhone Messages app to a recipient you choose
• When you sync to your iPhone Calendar, anyone you’ve shared that calendar with can see your appointments — this is determined by your iPhone Calendar sharing settings, not by Paws Planner
We do not share your data with anyone, ever.
Children
Paws Planner is intended for use by adults running grooming businesses. The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
Data deletion
To delete your Paws Planner data:
• Within the app: Settings → restore from a fresh backup, or
• Delete the app from your iPhone, which removes all locally stored data immediately. Backups stored in iCloud Drive (if enabled) can be deleted via the Files app
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at dogsinstyle.co.uk/pawsplanner
