By booking an appointment with Dogs In Style, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Appointments & Cancellations
• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations or reschedules.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to be present at the appointment time, will result in a charge of 50% of the groom price.
• This fee must be paid before any future bookings can be made.
2. Matting Policy
• Dogs with matted coats will be assessed before grooming begins.
• I will spend a maximum of 15 minutes brushing out matting where safely possible.
• If matting cannot be brushed out within this time, I will require owner consent to clip the coat short for the dog’s comfort and welfare.
• An additional charge will apply for matted coats due to the extra time, equipment wear, and care required.
3. Flea Policy
• Dogs found to have fleas or signs of infestation will not be groomed.
• The appointment will be stopped immediately and the dog must be treated before rebooking.
• If a dog is found to have fleas during the groom, the appointment will be terminated for hygiene reasons. A fee equal to 25% of the scheduled grooming cost will be charged to cover time and travel.
4. Dog Health & Behaviour
• Owners must inform the groomer of any medical conditions, skin issues, injuries, or behavioural problems prior to grooming.
• Aggressive or extremely distressed dogs may not be able to be completed for safety reasons.
• Any injury caused by pre-existing conditions (including matting, skin issues, or hidden lumps) is not the responsibility of the groomer.
5. Puppy & First Grooms
• Puppies must be fully vaccinated before their first groom.
• First grooms may be shorter depending on the puppy’s behaviour and tolerance.
6. Payment
• Payment is due on the day of the groom unless otherwise agreed.
• Prices may vary depending on coat condition, size, behaviour, and time taken.
7. Welfare
• The dog’s comfort, safety, and wellbeing will always be the top priority.
• Grooming will be stopped if continuing would cause undue stress or risk to the dog.
8, Access, Location and Electricity
. The customer must provide safe and suitable access to the property and a legal parking space for the grooming vehicle. If parking is not available or access is unsafe the appointment may be cancelled and a fee may apply.
. To provide a full grooming service, we require access to a standard mains electricity socket at your property. We will supply an extension cable; however the socket must be safely accessible and within reasonable distance of the vehicle.
9 , Accident and emergency
.While every care is taken, grooming carries some risk (e.g minor cuts and irritation) in the event of an emergency we will seek veterinary treatment and contact you immediately.
. Any veterinary costs may be the owner's responsibility if related to pre existing conditions or undisclosed issues.
10, Satisfaction
.If you are unhappy with any aspect of the groom please inform us within 24 hours so we can address the issue.
11, Photography
.We may take photos of your dog for portfolio or social media use, please inform us if you do not consent.
12, Agreement
.By booking an appointment you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
